I have always been driven by a need to understand systems and people. When my own feelings of not being centred bumped into that need to understand, I sought out the science: Psychology.
Gaining a BPS (British Psychological Society )-accredited degree allowed me to saturate myself in the evidence. Over and over again, CBT came out on top; for different conditions or issues, for different people. I’ve seen first-hand, both in the research and in my own life; how powerful this therapy is for moving from "barely here" to truly thriving.
Now, as a BABCP (British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies)-accredited therapist, I use that same evidence-based approach to help you find understanding for yourself.
I believe a good life is built on the things that make us feel alive, and CBT is a wonderful tool to help expand your life and build that meaning in.
For me, that meaning comes from:
Learning: immersing myself in psychology, CBT and evidence
Outdoors: I love hiking hills, walking through woods, or strolling along a beach exploring nature.
Indoors: I'm a big fan of gaming (from board games to consoles and PC) and I love finding ways to create (baking, sewing, papercraft, eco-dyeing, or making digital comics, DIY solutions)
